The Aquarium!!!

As you know we took Amelia to her first aquarium visit for her 14 month birthday. Oh what fun it was! I really think she liked it better than the zoo lol. Jake's parents also tagged along this trip. Let me tell you about  our adventure :)

We started our morning out getting ready to leave at 1pm. We ate a regular breakfast and a big lunch, then the fight to keep Amelia up until we left began.

Let's just say 15 min before we left, I lost.

I sat in the front seat for the first time in 14 months.
Amelia has offically been turned forward facing and slept the whole way!

Getting ready to head on in.
Then the real fun began!

 Petting Stingrays!!!

14 months!

Oh my wonderful daughter, I can't believe you are 14 months old tomorrow. You light up the world around you and are our most precious treasure.

You are so talkative and love coming up with your own silly and unique sounds. You surprise everyone with the words and sometimes even phrases you say out of the blue. Why even yesterday you told your great grandma " I love you" and the room gasped.

You are so sweet and love to be cuddled and hugged. You show your love to others by giving a pat on the back. You still love to be rocked to sleep for naps and bedtime, but secretly mommy still loves that so much.

You and your daddy have the silliest and cutest way of playing together that I just can't help but sit back and laugh my heart out. His eyes sparkle when he here's you laugh. He gives you a bath and sings to you every night. It melted my heart tonight, when he sang " I'll love you for always".

Your favorite book is "Go Dog Go". You love the pictures and you have always loved dogs.

You are still in 2t clothes but have completely out grown all of your 18 months. You are in size 5 shoes and only tennis shoes will hold up to your playfulness.

Your favorite game is peek a boo and your favorite toy is a stroller. You can play both for hours.

You have come to love fruit, just about all fruit but your favorite is watermelon. You are not a fan of veggies but love green beans. And you like fish, are allergic to shrimp, and love chicken. Last even though you have only had it 3x in your life, you love chocolate cake.

You love Aquariums! You just can't tear yourself away from wathcing those fish swim around. That is why tomorrow, to celebrate you turning 14 months old, we are taking you to the Tennessee aquarium and I can't wait to take loads of pics of you.

Happy 14 months my little blessing.

GOD BLESS!

"Bye bye!"

No I am not quitting the blogger world. I just wanted to share my baby girls new word. She surprised us this week with saying bye bye clear as day. It was seriously a "wait did she really just say that?" moment. Then again yesterday she surprised us by saying "thank you" to our waiter. We could not believe it. I am such a proud mommy right now. My baby girl is growing up so fast. She is growing smarter and sweeter each each day.  She is our little genius. Yes I know every parent thinks that about their baby. But to watch her learn and grow is simply amazing! She trys to brush her own hair and put on her own socks and shoes. She loves to play phone ( anything and everything can become a phone lol). She loves to take things apart and put them back together. Her language is growing every day.

So far she says:
Mama
Dada
Hey
Thank you
No no
Bye
Dog
Kitty
Yaya
Papa

The list is growing every day! :)

I am also proud that she tries to communicate what she wants by pointing instead of getting frustrated.  Most of the time we can figure out what wants. I love the smile we get from her when we
understand what she is asking for.  Communicating is becoming easier and easier everyday.

This is one happy mama, proud of her little angel!

THE ZOO!!!

We decided to take a random trip to the Nashville Zoo yesterday. It is the last couple of days until Jake starts school and It was so nice to spend some family time together. Now it was a toss between the aquarium in Chattanooga and the zoo in Nashville and Nashville won (only because it was an hour and a half shorter ride lol).

This was our first time at this zoo, so we really didn't know what to expect. I do have to say I was very pleased with it. They let you bring in your own food and drink. Which means Amelia could had her grapes and water through out :). They were very stroller friendly and most of the park was shaded. It was 80 degrees out side but only felt like 75, perfect for walking the day away.

Now for the pic bomb!

Mom a meerkat!

It's a small zoo but very perfect for a 14 month old's attention span.
There were more animals than that, I promise I was just caught up in watching than taking pics :)

 Love our mini summer adventures!
 Share yours :)

GOD BLESS!!!!
